Mt. Fuji, from Shizuoka.

This is a view of Fuji-san from a Shizuoka Prefectural University building (or University of Shizuoka perhaps). Apparently in summer there is so much humidity and haze that you can barely see the hills in the foreground, and Fuji-san is never seen. The small secondary peak on the right formed in an eruption some 300 years ago, - before that the symmetry was almost ideal.
